Elk Grove, CA (August 14, 2019) – McDonald’s has teamed with Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series star Kyle Larson to become the title sponsor of the fifth annual Kyle Larson’s Outlaw Kart Showcase presented by McDonald’s. The two-day extravaganza on Monday and Tuesday, September 2 and 3, offers over a $35,000 total purse for the three competing divisions, with $6,000 to the winner of the Open Division at Cycleland Speedway in Chico, Calif.
“I’m very excited to have McDonald’s on board for the Outlaw Kart Showcase,” said Larson. “They are a big part of my NASCAR program at Chip Ganassi Racing as well as my World of Outlaws sprint car team. McDonald’s brings a lot of prestige to the Showcase, and is a perfect fit with all the competitors and fans who come to the Showcase.”
Once again, the Outlaw Kart Showcase will include the Box Stock, 250 Intermediate and Open outlaw karts. Preliminary events for all three divisions will be contested on Monday night, with a special Open Division feature event available to the top-20 karts from qualifying, paying $1,000 to the winner. Tuesday will see the last chance races and championship features. Cycleland Speedway point races will also be held on Saturday and Sunday prior to the Showcase for additional track time.
Instructions for event entry are available at www.OutlawKartShowcase.com. Entry information, as well as rules, race format and information on sponsorship opportunities are posted on the website.
