KYLE LARSON’S OUTLAW KART SHOWCASE MOVES TO NEW DATES

Elk Grove, CA, (February 6, 2020). With the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs beginning a week earlier this season, Kyle Larson’s Outlaw Kart Showcase at Cycleland Speedway in Chico, Calif. will now move to the week preceding the California native’s annual trek for Cup racing at Sonoma Raceway. Normally run during Labor Day weekend, the Showcase will now be held on Monday and Tuesday June 8 and 9.

“As most everyone knows I always discontinue my dirt racing during the NASCAR playoffs” said Larson. “With the change to Darlington now being the first playoff race I wanted to find a way that we could keep the Showcase going. The new dates were really our only option but we think this will work out better for a lot of the racers and fans.”

The biggest event in Outlaw Kart racing will once again include the Open Division, 250 Intermediates and Box Stocks. Preliminary events for all three divisions will be contested Monday night, with feature events on Tuesday. Monday night will also see a special Open Division feature paying $1,000 to the winner, and will be contested by the top 20 karts from qualifying.

Details for the Saturday and Sunday portion of the four-day extravaganza will be announced in early March, along with entry information, race format and information on sponsorship opportunities.
